Project TwelveOm

TWELVEOM - Athens Yoga Festival

TWELVE OM was inspired by the idea to connect Yoga, Greek philosophy, different teachings and traditions, in order to show that they are all leading to a common universal knowledge, One truth!

In the epicenter of the Greek philosophy, Athens, we have the vision to join people from around the world, in order to inspire them, share their visions, practices and knowledge in the sacred energy of Greece.

The number 12 has a strong symbolic meaning in many cultures, traditions and philosophies. It is found from the 12 Gods of Olympus or the twelve works of Hercules in Ancient Greece. It is also present in the twelve names of the Sun in Sanskrit, or the twelve sacred cushions, where the Creator sat in the Japanese cosmology. It represents the manifestation of the Trinity to the four corners of the horizon - 3 X 4, and in some religions, it is the creative capacity expressed as the Divine Mother.

Twelve represents the symbol of completeness and perfection since ancient times. There are 12 Apostles, 12 Chapters of the Bible, 12 tribes of Israel, 12 Angels!

Number 12 expresses the idea that the Universe forms a whole, associated with the idea of differentiation - 10 + 2.

No matter how different our cultures, traditions, beliefs and systems, lets chant OM all together.

We are one, we are Yoga.
