ABOUT NAVAKARANA ZAZEN - SEATED MOVEMENT MEDITATION
Navakaraṇa Zazen (litterlly (9 movements seated meditation) is a slow mindful movement practice which focuses on the holistic approach. During this session you experience the unique style of Navakaraṇa method and how seated movements and stretches lead to mediative state. This class is lead with tempo (laya) and svara (melody). Instructions are given with tālam (rhythm) and Sanskrit recitation tuned to a sound pitch (nāda) to facilitate harmonious flow, rhythmic breathing, concentration and mental clarity. Students of all levels are welcome.
